Eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, are characterised by severe disturbances in an individual’s eating habits, and an obsession with weight and body shape. A person with an eating disorder typically becomes preoccupied with controlling their weight, which can lead them to make unhealthy choices about food. This can have an extremely detrimental effect on their physical and psychological wellbeing, and can even be fatal.

At Lois Bridges, we understand that it can be difficult to seek help for an eating disorder. However, if you think that you or someone that you know may be suffering from an eating disorder, it is important to know that you are not alone and the most crucial first step is to seek expert help.

Our Lois Bridges specialists have a wealth of experience in delivering exceptional treatment for a range of eating disorders, helping people to overcome their destructive eating habits, work towards recovery, and lead much healthier and fulfilling lives. Our expert approach doesn’t just treat the physical consequences of a patient’s eating disorder, but also aims to address the underlying psychological, environmental and social influences that underpin it.
